プロフィール
赤富士は私の重要なテーマのひとつですが、
取材ポイントは、多く滝沢林道の周辺です。
富士の山肌は、その火山岩が鉄分を含むために酸化して
やや赤味を带び、強い陽光によって赤褐色の輝きを放ちます。
水蒸気や火山灰が烈風に舞いあがり、太陽光によって乱反射するのです。
深く神秘的な彩雲に包まれた山塊は、時々刻々と姿を変えながら、
真紅の強烈きがクライマックスを迎えます。
真っ赤に燃え上がる富士は数分間でピークが過ぎ、
やがて薄い茶色に戻ります。
大阪天王寺のあべのハルカスからほど近い田辺の不動尊、
住吉区にある真言宗泉湧寺派の大本山法樂寺の全室五十一面の障壁画を完成して
お披露目催事企画展を開催したのが、二〇〇一年でした。
この歴史的な大業を、新世紀を迎えて早々に、大阪大丸ミュージーアムで
展観できたのは、二十一世紀の指針を見定める上で、とても重要でした。
駿河平での障壁画制作四年に及ぶ歳月は、偉大な富士との交信を深めてくれたと、
あらためて感謝しています。

Keigo Kimura – Profile
Born in Kyoto on December 8th, 1944, Keigo Kimura is a Japanese-style freelance painter who studied under Kayo Yamaguchi. He graduated from Kyoto City Hioshigaoka High School where he focused on Japanese-style painting. He now lives in Surugadaira, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
